Our Wedding Programs

Learning to dance for your wedding is a special gift that you and your spouse-to-be can give each other.

Feeling confident and poised when you dance together will ensure that your very first dance as husband and wife will be a memory you and your family will cherish forever.

In the mobile age in which we live, almost everybody has a video camera readily available, and it is very likely that a couple's first dance at their wedding will be recorded, and available down through the years for all posterity to see.

That's why prospective brides and grooms who want to give a polished, graceful or comfortable looking performance for their first dance increasingly opt to take dance lessons to help prepare for what may be the performance of their lifetimes.

Wedding Dance Tips from the Experts

  • Don't wait until the last minute. Remember that your schedule will get very hectic as your wedding day approaches. Dance instructors recommend starting four to six months earlier to allow more time for practice, especially if you are a newcomer to dancing.
  • Remember that dance lessons can actually be a stress reliever. As you go through the stress of your wedding preparations the dancing lessons are going to be a welcome respite.  Dancing is good exercise and lessons pull you out of the hustle and bustle of the day to spend an hour or so with your intended, having fun and working together productively at the same time.
  • Besides the Waltz and other traditional dances, the Tango, Mambo, Salsa, Swing and even the Hustle are all popular at weddings today for a first dance. If you plan to dance to a special song at your wedding reception, feel free to bring a recording of your music to your dance lessons so you can work on your first dance directly with your instructor. (Don't forget to coordinate with your wedding videographer to get the best "coverage" of your special first dance.)
  • Dance lessons can also be a great idea for your wedding party or for parents who want to be comfortable dancing at the wedding of their son or daughter; what father doesn't want to be able to lead his "little girl" in a dance at her wedding, comfortably and confidently?  Lesson packages make thoughtful wedding or shower gifts, contact us and ask about our Dance Gift Certificates for more information.
